March 31, 2005 Update. They poured the square bowl over the weekend and it is looking pretty sweet! All we need is the coping and its a done deal.

March 15, 2005 Update. The rain has stopped and the square bowl is starting to take shape here are the pics.

March 9, 2005 Update. There is a square pool in the process of being poured behind the overpass pylon and once that is done the middle section will be repoured to connect the existing section with the section that is currently in place. The main people that have put their time and money into this project are Andy Harris and Robby O'Connell.

Here are some pics from Tuesday Feb 15, 2004. A couple of guys from Scotland came out today and one of the pulled the deck to vert wall ollie which is pretty huge and Jim Gagne was down and landed a back smith on the wall. Here are the pics

I went down and skated with Andy and Robby and got a few pics of them. Here is a video clip from the session we had one is in quicktime and the other is windows media. Skatelink

This location is under the Channel Street Exit off of the 110 freeway in San Pedro. It has a huge parking lot and is a park and ride for carpoolers. These guys have always built ramps and rails down here and a few years ago they decided to pour some cement and see how the city felt about it. The city of San Pedro was stoked! The are behind the project 100% and are happy with the process so this park is here to stay so it is time to expand!

To get the park this far a number of companies and individuals have kicked in some money here and there for cement, rebar, and other supplies. The building crew consists of about 7 people so they all donate their time. Robby has a friend that let them use a bobcat so they have some semi heavy machinery to help move the dirt into place and now they need about $10, 000 for cement and steel to finish the project up.

By now you have probably seen ads in the mags with people like Daewon Song, Mike V and Eric Dressen killing this place. These guys are going to be doing some fundraising for this park and are going to compensate the sponsors with a plauque listing the sponsors when it is all complete.

Donations can be made via paypal, all donators names will be posted on the website
