Parks are usually for persons 14 or over.

The Tony Hawk Foundation is at the forefront of helping cities to get skateparks built. The Tony Hawk Foundation seeks to foster lasting improvements in society, with an emphasis on supporting and empowering youth. Through special events, grants, and technical assistance, the Foundation supports recreational programs with a focus on the creation of public skateboard parks in low-income communities. The Foundation favors programs that clearly demonstrate that funds received will produce tangible, ongoing, positive results.

grindtolipslide - I am starting to see a trend of the same basic park pop up in these suburban towns. These modular skateparks excite me about as much as these ugly modular homes that we see today. This skatepark had its a la carte pickings from the same company that did the Roselle and Bensenville parks (see reviews). The surface is really smooth and dries quickly after the rain. The concrete pour was done really well. The obstacles are just run-of-the-mill and nothing unique. The location is horrible- Lots of soccer mom types and a Patrol Unit that watches you as you skate. Kind of a teeny bopper hang out too. But they do have lights! Open till at least 9pm sometimes 9:45 depending on the day. Kind of confusing, but they have lights!
